Installation & Setup

PharmaDesk is available for both Windows and macOS. This guide will walk you through the first-time setup process.

1. Download the Installer

Go to the Download Page and select the installer for your operating system:

  • Windows: .exe installer (Works on Windows 10/11)
  • macOS: .dmg installer (Works on Intel and Silicon Macs)

2. Windows Installation

  1. Locate the PharmaDesk-Setup.exe file in your downloads.
  2. Double-click to run.
  3. If you see a "Windows protected your PC" alert, click More info and then Run anyway.
  4. The application will install and launch automatically.

3. First-Time Setup

When you first launch PharmaDesk, you'll be asked to:

  1. Sign In: Use your registered pharmacy account.
  2. Setup Pharmacy Profile: Enter your GSTIN, License Numbers, and Store Name.
  3. Sync Data: If you have an existing account, your data will automatically sync from the cloud.

Billing & GST Guide

Handling sales and GST compliance is the heart of PharmaDesk. Here's how to manage your daily billing efficiently.

Creating a Sale

  1. Press Ctrl + N or click New Bill.
  2. Search Medicine: Type the name or scan the barcode.
  3. Select Batch: PharmaDesk automatically selects the oldest batch (to prevent expiry loss) but you can manually override it.
  4. Enter Quantity: Use the fast numeric entry or mouse.
  5. Applied Taxes: GST (CGST/SGST/IGST) is calculated automatically based on the HSN code.

GST Compliance

  • Manual Overrides: You can change the GST type if you're selling out-of-state.
  • Reporting: GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B summaries are updated in real-time under the Reports section.
  • HSN Intelligence: When adding new products, PharmaDesk suggests the correct HSN code from our global database.
